Accupressure

Oriental technique based on the same principles of acupuncture by applying pressure to specific “pressure points” to improve the flow of energy

Algotherapy

Anti-inflamatory and pain treatment where thin layers of heated seaweed are applied on the skin and kept heated using infra-red lamps.

Aromatherapy

Treatment based on the ancient practice of using essential oils to heal by stimulating the nasal/olfactive sense, mental response and circulatory and respiratory functions.

Balneotherapy / Hydrotherapy

Refers to therapies in which mineral, salt or purified water is used to cure a variety of conditions such as stress, arthritis, circulation problems etc.

Body Composition Analysis

Any method such as caliper or electronic device used to determine the percentage ratio of body fat to lean muscle in weigh reduction or exercise programs.

Body Scrub or Polish (exfoliation)

A body scrub or polish treatment exfoliates the skin body leaving it fresh, smooth, moisturized and soft by rubbing away dead skin cells and hard flaky skin. These treatments usually include an oily base to moisturize and soothe the skin after it is scrubbed.

Body Wrap

Treatment designed to slim and tone the body, hydrate or firm the skin, relax and soothe muscle, eliminate toxins and cleanse the skin. There is a wide variety of wrap options with certain name variations according to each spa. Some of the most popular are:
